Historicial Development: | Webb in the Handbook of Texas recorded that the Western Naval Stores Co. operated a turpentine time camp and distillery from 1916 to 1920. The camp was located fourteen miles west of Jasper on the east bank of the Angelina Ferry. It took its name from Morris Ferry on the west bank of the River. |
