Historicial Development: | Giles & Singletary operated in 1897 a portable sawmill four miles south of Call Station, adjacent to Kirby's logging tram and short line industrial road, the Gulf Beaumont & Kansas City. Giles and Singletary sold the mill to Grubbs and Parker in February 1897. The mill was moved by the new owners to Princeton Bluff in Newton County.
