Historicial Development: | The Houston Sash & Door Co. appeared in the Southern Lumberman's Directory of American Saw Mills and Planing Mills edition of 1928 as operating a planing mill and box factory. By 1933, it was a creditor of Farmers and Merchants Lumber Company , which would eventually become a subsidiary of Angelina County Lumber Company. The Houston company was listed in a 1934 directory.
