Historicial Development: | The Grogan-Cochran Lumber Company originated in Cass and Marion counties before 1900. After 1910, the company moved the center of its operations to Montgomery County, where it continued until its properties were sold to an interstate construction consortium. It had a sawmill at Tomball for a period of time. The Tomball operation of the company was listed in the 1957 edition of the Directory of Wood-Using and Related Industries in East Texas. |
