Historicial Development: W. H. Roberts operated a sawmill at Huntsville from about 1899 to 1900, when he sold it to Jenkins Lumber Company, on January 20, 1900. Jenkins would assume Roberts' debt to William Pegoda. Jenkins would pay off his debt in part by letting Roberts market specific amounts of lumber that Jenkins sawed. Jenkins Brothers were listed as manufacturers of lumber in Huntsville in 1907.
