Historicial Development: | W. J. Williams operated a sawmill at Barado, about four miles northwest of Huntsville sometime before 1917. He sold the mill on February 19, 1917, to Edgar Robbins and W. C. Robbins, “that certain sawmill belonging to me on the Huntsville & Madisonville Road about 4 miles from Huntsville, consisting of 1 45HP boiler, one 10 1/2x16 Penitentiary (Star State) st engine, 1 sawmill carriage, 1 edger, shafting 2 4wheel log wagons” for $900 in cash and several mortgages.
On September 2, 1921, the Robbins sold this mill to E. S. Morrow and Sons while, at the same time, buying the E. S. Morrow and Sons sawmill on Home H. Plaster land about ten miles west of Huntsville. |
