Historicial Development: | The Gulf Coast Lumberman reported in 1950 that the Gilmer Flooring & Milling Company was selling its Hall & Brown planer and matcher, a six-cylinder, gas-powered machine. The company appeared in directory listings in the years of 1957 and 1958. In 1957, R. C. Martin Lumber bought the Gilmer Flooring & Milling Company, which had been idle for four months. In 1964, the R. C. Martin Lumber Company changed its name to the Martin Oak Flooring Company. |
