Historicial Development: | This operation may have evolved from the W. H. Lee sawmill of the 1920s and 1930s at Gilmer. In October, 1947, according to The Gulf Coast Lumberman, a fire completely destroyed the facility with the exception of the planer. Loss was estimated at $20,000. |
