Historicial Development: A man named Connally was reported by The Gilmer Mirror to have a sawmill at or near Rhonesboro after the turn of the century. Webb's Handbook of Texas notes that W. G. Connally had a shingle mill that shipped milled pine timber from a location just across the Wood County line, near Rhonesboro about 1910, from a place known as Peach.
