Historicial Development: According to Gregg County records, I. S. McCutcheon sold his sawmill in Upshur, located on the Griffith and Wedge patent about two miles north of Gladewater, to D. S. Moore and W. S. Hodge, who defaulted. T. J. Lowe, through G. V. Fairbanks, the trustee, bought a two-third's interest in the sawmill.
