Historicial Development: | P. K. Williams had a sawmill at or near Rhonesboro, beginning about 1920. He had an earlier mill at or near Rosewood, had served in the American armed forces during World War I, returning from France as a captain. He continued sawmilling at Rosewood until he was burned out. He next opened a mill near Rhonesboro and a later mill at Gilmer in 1928. |
