Historicial Development: | The Beaumont Journal of February 5, 1905, noted that W. V. Rose and C. G. Hooks were going to build a mill at Saratoga to service the oil boom. This mill, under a Southern Industrial and Lumber Review listing of W. V. Rose only in 1906, was producing 10,000 feet daily that year. The sawmill was also listed in the 1907 edition of the Reference Book of the Lumbermen's Credit Association. |
