Historicial Development: | W. D. Rogers portable sawmilling operation grew to be one of the largest remaining portable mill operations in southeast Texas. Rogers first operated a sawmill in Sour Lake, Texas, in 1962. The pine beetles destroyed most of his wood. He does not cut cypress because he feels that it is of low quality. He trucks in the logs. |
