Historicial Development: | The History of Shelby County noted that the “Trickle and Round Lumber Company” owned land about two miles south of Timpson in 1903. A Nacogdoches newspaper report identifies the company as Trekell and Rounds Lumber Company. In July, 1900, George B. Dickens died from injuries he had received about two weeks earlier injured by the wheels of a “dinkie” on the company tram road. The dry kiln was destroyed by fire in 1901 with a loss of $10,000. |
