Historicial Development: According to People, Places & Happenings, the site of the first sawmill in Fellowship Community was situated at Fellowship Spring, near the Baptist Church and the C. A. Luggett home. The Pickering tram road ran through the community at one time. The History of Shelby County noted that during the 1870s at sawmill was operating at Fellowship Community near the spring by Styles & Sheet, just beyond the Methodist Church.
