Historicial Development: | Drayton Speights, a life-long resident and lumberman of Sabine County, told Vernon L. Beasley that Earnest White owned and operated a circular sawmill outside of Hemphill about 1930. The mill was gasoline-powered in which White employed four workers. The company did not have a commissary. |
