Historicial Development: J. B. Cotton, president of Cotton Lumber, sold his mill to A. E. Davis in 1909, who agreed to insure the mill for $20,000 until the notes were paid. The Cotton plant included a boiler, engine, saws, filing machine, cutoff saw, edger, mill sheds, dollies, dry kilns, planing mill, and tenant houses. Davis may have sold the mill to Noble & Noble who sold it later to Watson-Christensen.
