Historicial Development: | According to census records for the year ending June 1, 1850, William Nash's water-powered sawmill cut 200,000 feet of lumber during the census year. Nash employed five men during that time, and d the mill's value at $4,000. The d value of the lumber produced was $2000. He does not appear in the Products of Industry schedules for 1860 or 1870. |
