Historicial Development: | A number of Thomases were involved in several sawmills in San Augustine County during the first decade of the 20th century. One was the Thomas & Fields and the Thomas & Blount sawmills. Their locations are yet uncertain.
In 1907, both operations were taxed by the county on products, tools, and boilers. The Thomas and Fields sawmill was also taxed for commissary wares. |
