Historicial Development: | According to San Augustine County bill of sale records, the Harvey Creek Lumber Company hardwood sawmill, with John N. Kinney, manager, was located four miles south of Warsaw. On 11 April 1917, Kinney sold 25,000 feet of 4-inch by 4-inch plain oak, 20,000 feet of 4-inch by 8-inch oak, and 20,000 feet of 4-inch by 4-inch of sap gum. On 5 April 1917, G. B. Fowler had sold to Boynton Lumber Company at White City 20,000 feet of 4-inch by 4-inch plain oak, 20,000 feet of 4-inch by 8-inch KD gum, and 20,000 feet of 4-inch by 4-inch of gum for $400. On 1 June 1917, Harvey Creek Lumber sold a total of 20,000 feet of 4-inch by 4-inch sap gum to Boynton Lumber Company at White City. |
