Historicial Development: According to San Augustine county records, R. E. Booth as Booth Lumber Company sold for $10 to Hutchings Sealy National Bank of Galveston a sawmill and planing mill, located one mile southeast of San Augustine. Equipment included one GMC power unit, one HD Corliss sawmill, six circular saws, grinder, one Tower 5-saw edger, one U-2 International power unit, one electric motor, one 18-inch blower, one #94 Berlin planer, one UD-18 power unit, one cutoff saw, one Hall & Brown grinder, one 20-feet Cunningham double-end trimmer, and one lumber shed 24-feet by 100-feet.
