Historicial Development: | Chambers Lumber Co., Inc., of Pineland, operated a portable sawmill operation in Sabine and Shelby counties. The IRS filed a lien against the “Chambers Sawmill Company, Inc.,” at Box 67, Pineland, Texas, in July 1968, for $5,356. Drayton Speights told Vernon L. Beasley that he could remember the sawmill operating as early as 1957 in areas such as Milam and Pineland. |
