Historicial Development: | L. Mason, who later own a plant at Seven Oaks in the county, was sawmilling somewhere in Polk in the year 1891. The plant was probably located near the track of the Houston East & West Texas or the Trinity & Sabine.
Mason sold the mill plus almost four hundred thousand feet of lumber stacked at the mill to E. R. Alexander for $2,080. |
