Historicial Development: | According to Panola County records, the Trammell Lumber Company bought from S. H. Forte a sawmill one and a half miles east of Wood's Post Office in Panola County. The mill would have been located just above the Shelby County line from Tenaha. The LCA credit rating for 1907 listed the Trammell Lumber Company at Tenaha.
S. H. Forte had earlier bought the sawmill from another Shelby County milling business, the H. C. Parker Lumber Company. |
