Historicial Development: | R. E. Neil operated a shingle mill at or near Beckville in 1904. On January 8 of that year, Neil contracted with Hooper Singleton Lumber Company to sell it his cut for three months.
Neil may possibly be the partner in the Neal & Fleming shingle mill that operation some years earlier on the Murvaul Bayou, eight miles south of Carthage. |
