Historicial Development: | Smith & Adams Company contracted with Bank of Garrison to refinance its sawmill located about five miles south of Garrison. Property included a 42-inch by 10-foot Ames boiler, a 9-inch by 12-inchNagle steam engine, another engine and boiler, a Curtis No. 6 sawmill, and a three-saw edger. The Bank of Garrison, according to the filing recorded in the county Record of Contract Volume B, allowed J. H. Tinkle to lease the mill until December 31, 1906, at a per monthly rate of $125. The mill was located on the Garrett Vaught place. |
