Historicial Development: Reginald (Sunny) Monzingo recalled for the edition Memories of Chireno that “Before Sutton's mill began operating we went into Chireno to buy lumber for a cow pen from Mr. Silas Prince. Mr. Prince had a little mill located at about the site where Bailey and Ruth Moore later built their house.” Lance Mettauer recalled that Silas Prince operated a sawmill close to the Sutton mill before moving it to Easy Street in Chireno. It was a “thick ‘n thin” mill operated by a Buick motor.
