Historicial Development: | J. M. McCristien's thumb was amputated after a circular saw badly lacerated it. The injury was reported to have happened at McCristien's mill northeast of Nacogdoches. This individual is undoubtedly the J. M. McCristien to whom E. A. Blount loaned $500 in January 1898 to acquire a steam sawmill with all fixtures and equipment. |
