Historicial Development: | J. M. Harris contracted with C. R. Brown to buy the 500 acres of standing timber owned by Brown. The land was located about thirteen miles northeast of Nacogdoches. Harris contracted to log all timber more than nine inches in diameter at the stump by December 16, 1919, and to erect and leave a 4-room house and all buildings necessary for construction of a sawmill plant to manufacture the timber into lumber. |
