Historicial Development: | J. J. Fulmer and son, according to the Nacogdoches Weekly Sentinel, bought the Harris mill, which was located in April 1902 about two miles north of Swift. A Nacogdoches newspaper reported in 1902 Fulmer's mill was cutting 20,000 feet daily at Swift. Another report by the Nacogdoches Plaindealer that year advertised the mill sold lumber, shingles, boxing, weatherboarding, fencing and framing.
