Historicial Development: | Bartlett Lumber operated a sawmill about seven miles south of Cushing. In March, 1917, it sold more than a hundred fifty thousand feet of rough lumber to Tilford-Hunt. Bartlett Lumber agreed to dress the lumber before delivering it. Later Bills of Sale reveal that the mill was located about nine to ten miles south of Cushing and along the Nat- Douglas Road, about two miles west of Nat. By May, 1919, the sawmill site had been moved to a location about four and a half miles northeast of Cushing. |
