Historicial Development: | W. A. Parrott and Jackson Parrott operated a stave camp in the Angelina river bottoms of LaNana Bayou. That year a Nacogdoches newspaper reported that the W. A. Parrott stave camp required twenty-five animal teams to haul staves. Later Jackson Parrott stated that they were putting every team to work that showed up. Teams could make $4.00 to $6.00 daily. |
