Historicial Development: | E. A. Nelson's sawmill was three miles south of Hallsville in 1904. That year he mortgaged his steam-powered Tyler sawmill and a lumber buggy for $500 to B. J. Waldron. This mill was listed in the Reference Book of the Lumbermen's Credit Association, January 1905 but not in the 1907 edition. It may have become the O. E. Nelson sawmill listed in the 1907 edition. |
