Historicial Development: | Walter Inglet & Son appeared in the 1957 edition of Nelson T. Samson's Directory of Wood-Using and Related Industries in East Texas. An article from a Houston newspaper noted that Walter Inglet began a lumber farm and sawmill on a ninety-acre tract of land near Willis in Montgomery in 1936. Inglet practiced conservation, cutting only mature trees. He did not reseed, depending upon natural increase. Business had improved to the point where Inglet was doing custom sawing and planing for others. |
