Historicial Development: | J. C. Ulrich was president of the Montgomery Lumber Company in 1920. The mill was located probably near Montgomery. South Texas Hardwood Company, of Houston, bought 353,600 feet of pine and hardwood lumber from Montgomery Lumber Company in August, 1920, and another 275,000 feet in October following. South Texas Hardwood Company leased the rail switch and loading dock of Montgomery Lumber until the lumber was shipped. |
