Historicial Development: Alfred W. Morris took an ownership in this mill after selling his mill at Bowers to W. T. Carter & Brother. Carson, Morris, and Co of West Virginia sold for $15,000 a sawmill to Carson, Morris, and Co of Willis, Texas. This may have become the A. M. Carson Company, later identified at Willis in 1916.
