Historicial Development: George Royden Ogletree returned from Indian Territory about 1908 and operated a sawmill at Shepherd for several years before shifting operations to Talco, about 1915, in Titus County, later at Mt Vernon, and then finally settling on Livingston. His sawmill at Mt Vernon was destroyed by fire on September 8, 1925, with a loss of $30,000.
