Historicial Development: | Peter R. Albert was the organizer of the Albert Mill Company at Dialville around the year 1900. It currently is named the Albert Mill Company of Texas. He bought out the the Slover crate factory about 1914 and renamed it the Halbert-Dial Box & Crate Factory. N. A. Shover (Slover?) was listed in the Reference Book of the Lumbermen's Credit Association, January 1907. The correct spelling is “Slover.” Jack Slover operated his crate and box factory until Albert bought it. The company operated under the name of Albert- Dial Box and Crate Factory. The plant closed in 1986. |
