Historicial Development: | Arrington Lumber & Pallet Co, Inc. began with a small sawmill at Alto then moved to Rusk in 1963. The electric mill in Rusk was equipped with bandsaws. It purchased rough lumber for manufacturing pallets and studs. By 1973, the Arrington operation was located in Jacksonville with two electric sawmills and a planer. Logs were purchased to manufacture into pallets. R. Taylor told interviewer V. L. Beasley that the mill was still operating in 1994. |
