Historicial Development: C. J. Robertson and Roy McDonald bought salvageable equipment and material from the C. R. Cummings mill at Wallisville, which had been destroyed in the great storm of 1915. With it, they built a sawmill on Turtle Bayou capable of cutting 60,000 board feet daily in order to harvest thirty million feet of short leaf pine located on the Trinity River. It was listed in the The Lumbermen's Credit Rating Book, October 1934.
