Historicial Development: | The Bridges plant was listed in the Reference Book of the Lumbermen's Credit Association, January 1905 and the 1907 listing.
This may be the William Bridges in 1907 who executed a mortgage with Dilley & Son of Palestine. It was recorded in the Cherokee County chattel mortgage registers. For $1,000, Bridges pledged a boiler, an engine, an edger, a sawmill, a mandrel, and 50-feet of belting. Another mortgage was registered in July, 1909, with a W. M. Bridges mortgaging to Dilley for $245, pledging an edger, a mandrel, and a grinder.
