Historicial Development: | Grady C. Singletary interviewed Hersheld Williams who confirmed that the Honey Lake Sawmill was on the Anderson County side of the Neches River. It operated around 1920: a “big steam mill, with a planer, and lots of workers.” Lumber for market was brought over the bridge on the Cuney-Kickapoo Road to Cuney, where it was loaded on a siding at the I&GN. |
