Historicial Development: | The Chambers County Deed Records reveal that a Robert Wiseman built his mill on a tract ground near Cove “known as the mill tract, where a steam sawmill was heretofore erected.” It was mentioned in the Galveston Weekly News on June 13, 1851, and December 20, 1853. |
