Historicial Development: | Mill machinery appears on the 1899 tax roll as belonging to J. M. Mills, worth $600. The Foggans and Mills sawmill employed seventeen men in 1900. J.A. Foggans and J.M. Mills were the mill owners, and F.D. Foggans was the mill superintendent. Mills also owned in 1899 two horses or mules, six cattle, two dogs, one wagon, and 200 acres on the Reason Green survey. |
