Historicial Development: The Cloud Lumber Company rebuilt an old sawmill site in Rosedale, just outside the Beaumont City limits, in 1947. It had a sawmill, a planing mill, and dry kilns. It cut primarily pine but some hardwoods as well. The company was listed at Beaumont in the 1957 edition of the Directory of Wood-Using and Related Industries in East Texas.
