Historicial Development: According to Webb, Texas Tram & Lumber Company opened a logging camp at Magnolia Springs in 1882. The camp was located on Wright Creek in west central Jasper County. The company used Wright's Landing to float logs down the Neches to Beaumont. The camp was moved to Kirbyville in 1894.
