Historicial Development: Edgar Robbins was listed in the Reference Book of the Lumbermen's Credit Association, January 1907 edition as a manufacturer of lumber at Sion. He may also operated mills at 4 Mile Spring, Barado, and Crabbs Prairie. Webb's Handbook of Texas describes the community as “a sawmill site with a general store, daily mail delivery, and a population of 150 by 1896. . . . it was not listed in census reports after 1914.”
