Historicial Development: C. H. Hebert and P. H. Strauss, Jr., are mentioned in the San Jacinto County records in 1936 when their mortgage to McAdams Finance Co on their sawmill equipment was recorded. The mill was located a mile from Point Blank, on Highway 75 to Cold Spring. Their equipment, which they had bought from C. K. Hardy, included the sawmill, a boiler, engine, saws, carriage, edgers, and trimmers. Later that year, Strauss mortgaged the entire sawmill outfit to McAdams Finance Co.
