Historicial Development: A. M. Ayres and R. H. Poole leased for $500 a year from Mrs. Ethel Meadow, on the W Gibbons grant, a sawmill and site near Geneva, with the right to build houses, install equipment, and move logs on the property. This may have been the site of A. H. Jeans' sawmill. He had had a lien put on his sawmill and equipment earlier that year at his plant two and one half miles west of Geneva.
