Historicial Development: Barron bought Jack Garrett's old mill in 1886 for a $200 note. P. W. Barron also bought the George Roberts mill on East Hamilton Road in San Augustine County in January 1887 (see entry). J. Johnson, in an interview with V. L. Beasley, claims that the Garrett mill was located about three miles west of San Augustine.
